Introduction / Transition to Leadership

May 21, 2024 - 11am PST

The first week sets the tone for the course by laying out learning objectives, setting expectations for participation, and introducing the facilitator before diving right into the course content. Distinguish between leadership and management, identify common challenges, discuss solutions, and understand how to begin the transition from support staff into a leadership role.

Teamwork, Collaboration, Building Trust and Respect

May 28, 2024 - 11am PST

A cohesive team gets results. A united team comes from carefully creating an organizational culture that empowers employees to do their best work. This is not about free coffee and the occasional box of donuts for the early risers. This is about understanding motivating factors, establishing trust, and staging out team development.

Coaching for Performance

June 4, 2024 - 11am PST

What makes an effective coach? What is the framework for having coaching conversations with your team, and how do you apply it to real-life situations. Uncover the characteristics and roles of effective coaches. Who knows, after this session you may become the next Ted Lasso.

Developing Others

June 11, 2024 – 11am PST

Have you ever seen a member of your team do subpar work and decide “If a job is going to get done right, I have to do it myself.” This may work in the short-term but sets up long-term problems with an unsustainable workload while your workforce becomes less empowered and less accountable. This meeting discusses key components of developing others including communication, performance management, and delegation.

Meetings That Get Results

June 18, 2024 – 11am PST

Ever been in a meeting that seems to go on forever but ends without any clear direction forward? Effective meetings are not an accident. Managers who bring the best out of their employees and achieve results know how to use a meeting to bring the team together and motivate for success.

Goal Setting

June 25, 2024 – 11am PST

You have the tools to lead your team, but where do you go? Uncover how to create a clear path forward for your team with intentional goal setting that will set you and your team up for long-term success.
